Default 2014 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood

Hello,

The 2014 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood is fast approaching. The 2nd event of the Rally America national calendar will be Feb 21st & 22nd, 2014. We are anticipating a rather large national entry field, with Rally America designating us as a required event for national competitors to attend. And with close to twenty local competitors, odds are the field for the rally will be swelled with folks looking to take on the challenge of the Ozark gravel. Without you, this event could not happen. We are now accepting worker registrations. Among the rally's staffing requirements, we are in need of control workers, amateur radio operators, road marshals, spectator marshals, and much more.

IF you wish to work with someone in particular, please state on your registration who that would be, and every effort will be made to accomodate you. If you are bringing someone along, please be sure to register them, along with yourself. Also, please make certain you specify which days you can work. There are options for both Friday and Saturday. This helps us with manning positions. Thanks.

Please visit our registration page to sign up. http://rallymasterpro.com/workers?group=6

In addition to the fun you'll have, we provide an exclusive event t-shirt, various worker goodies, and a hoot of an after rally shindig with free food & beer (for those of legal drinking age)

For lodging information, please go here http://www.100aw.org/?page_id=51

Best regads,

Randy Stroede

We put our order in for that with the Chamber of Commerce.
You guys should start razzing StL Subaru since you have more people coming than they do. There's a lot of maybe's on there but not organized like you KC guys.

Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, alas I remember you well. My wife and i were big into the SCCC. We were working the rally at a fork in the road. It was clear (signs and yellow tape) to take the left arm; my wife was standing in the right lane. A car turned right. I’ve never seen my wife move so fast! She actually left the road and went up a tree. Darn, I miss the STL region. The Atlanta region is a freckle on the arse of the STL region. I wish I could work it again.

The weather will be nice. We are not running due to recent shoulder surgery. Instead, we will be working. When we run, it snows or ices. That is God's way of telling me that a Mustang is not a suitable rally car and also that Texans are not good drivers in slippery conditions.

Hey now, if a 1963 Saab can rally then so can your Mustang.

I only wish I could get some of the old Chicago Subaru community to get to some rallies to match the Kansas City turnout.

The Green Bay crew will be there in support of 660. Lets hope he uses a little more of the skinny pedal than he did at Sno*Drift.

Either way it should be a great time!

Weather service forecast is partly cloudy on Friday, partly sunny on Saturday, and in the 50s both days.

Beautiful day in the 100 AW! Getting supplies this morning, then out to work the stages this afternoon. Should be a great turnout this year between the weather, having Pastrana, Block AND Higgins, and a good-sized field of competitors.

Should have brought a better camera...
