Are there any ice racing events in the Midwest?
Hey guys. 2013 WRX sedan here. Been promising my son all fall that we would get to an ice race (time trial actually) event and he could co-drive with me. (Yes we both have helmets.)
Does anyone know of any events? I know I just missed one last weekend. I am going to have to juggle my schedule to get to something this winter! A friend told me about the Road America Winter AutoX. Anyone know anything about that? Is it a course set up on snow in a parking lot? Thanks, Corey

LOL. thanks! I was just coming back to post that I found www.w-a-g.org.
Have you ever raced there? I am going to try to contact someone this afternoon to see if they are full for this weekend. |

No problem! I've rallycrossed with their region before, great group up there. I'd highly recommend them! I have yet to get out on the ice though, been itching to.

With any luck this Sunday my son will have his name over the word "co-driver" on the passenger window.

I am going to Hustisford for their TT on Sunday with my co-driver. I've been in contact with the organizer, seems like a really nice guy who is a great ambassador to the sport.
We are stoked! This will be my first racing experience. |

I had a lot of fun at the WAG event today, as did my co-driver. |

What I saw is that they had to cancel today b/c of water. The WAG event had some areas on the track opening up toward the end of the second heat. But it was easily dealt with and the race went on. The track was really slippery just after noon (my 3rd run) but then settled out for the second heat. I really enjoyed it and would go back. Corey |
