i recently looked into having 3M Crystalline installed on my Foz

the 599+ is the advertised price for a complete job, sans windshield
i don't think the 850 is out of line for Crystalline, it is out of line, just not for the product OP chose

that kind of bottom line is simply beyond what any good tint job is worth imo

it is a shame you decided to spring for it and got poor workmanship and dishonesty for your money
the speaker issue is the pivot point that makes the entire thing completely unacceptable
i would squeak until you get satisfaction

i bet 3M would find the story interesting, try them

850 sounds like you have some sort of ceramic film and judging by the pictures, they didn't shrink nor prep the window good enough judging from the eyebrows and peanuts show in the window tint. keep in mind, ceramic film is much harder to install so not everybody can do it well.

That is pricey, but I do hear the Crystalline is supposed to actually keep heat out. Weird that they wouldn't do more for you at the tint shop. Every tint shop I have gone to has lifetime warranties, so if there is any bubbling or I am not satisfied, they replace it for free.

Crystalline tint from 3m is pretty pricy. It's not the cheap tint which most of us get, including me. A lot of people I've talked to who had that crystalline tint said it's really worth the price, especially in the California heat.

I see the problem... you have Audi windows in your Subaru.
JK... just keep going back and bothering them about it, preferably in front of other customers. Eventually they will just re-do it to get you out of their shop.

Dude take that back. For 850 they should have trimmed the windows in gold. I had the 3m color stable done to both my Subies; the first time the shop left about 4 pretty significant bubbles. I asked them to redo the back since the whole reason I was there was to pay a professional to do it better than me. Tell the shop that if you wanted a lackluster and crappy job you would have done it yourself. You paid so that it could be done right, and it wasn't. For 850, the whole car better be perfect. Definitely go back and insist upon a replacement.

Most of you guys probably have no clue the difference between 3m crystalline and the other stuff. Price isnt too far beyond whats typical for that material.

I paid $150 for all 3 rears total 3m some regular kind of tint. Then the front coupe windows $150 each window 3m Crystalline tint (so 150x2 = $300 for two front sides). The heat rejection is well worth it if you can spend on it.

Sorry to hear the workmanship was not top notch. Id demand a re-do by their best employee.

I have my wrx tinted with lumar. I've read that 3m crystalline is direct competitor is lumar vise versa. Only thing that I saw is that any place can carry 3m film and lumar is super limited and only carried by certified shops.

holy wow at that price!!!! Sorry man, I feel bad. I paid $90 for my tint (back in Oklahoma). I could not imagine what they think they're doing for $850. I still need to get the front windshield done at the top. Good Luck!

Price is fine for that product, workmanship is not. I paid $750 for ALL windows, windshield included, for ceramic tint. It is not 3m or Huper Optik. I have no issues with my film around the matrix, edges, defroster lines or antenna lines.
