Default ON Toronto Canada - 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS w/05 USDM STI conversion

Re-posting - not sure why my thread was closed!!!!!!!!!! (maybe because I didn't put the location in the subject line - and the link to pictures)???

Hello everyone

Very tough decision - but I decided to sell my car

It was either keep this or the*S2000*- and decided to keep the*S2000

It has the*full STI conversion*- engine, 6-spd transmission and drive line all from a 2005 STI -*Brembo*brakes*(front and rear) - DCCD - odometer reads 167000 kms (I am in Canada) - but honestly, I can't confirm the actual mileage as the previous owner replaced the dashboard with an STI one

3"*down*pipe*& custom exhaust - also just re-tuned at a reputable shop here in Toronto (Neetronics)

car is white in color - but again previous owner decided to wrap it in pearl white color

I am located in Toronto, Canada*

Not sure if the link below will work to see pictures!!!!

Asking $12,500 cdn$$

I wanted to add another important point

With the canadian dollar being so low now, the $12,500 price in cdn$$ works out to about the $10,000 mark in US funds - so I think it is a great great price for anyone in the US right now

and if you are close to the Buffalo border, you can drive the car home and save on the shipping (i am located about 45 min from the Queenston/Lewiston bridge in buffalo)

Thanks

thats a million times harder than you delivering to buffalo, which is why i asked if you would drop the car off. all you need is a passport and a ride home.

if the car is already physically in the us it makes things a lot easier

If I cross the border with 2 cars, and come back with only 1 car, don't you think customs will notice? I haven't done that before and I don't mind doing it - but I don't want to do something illegal - and don't want to mess with all kinds of questions from the customs.

I have imported 3 cars before from the US - and if you do everything yourself (which I have done once), it's not that difficult

The other two times, I contacted a brokerage firm, they charged me $225 and they took care of all the customs work themselves - money well spent and way worth it.

I am assuming the same could be done from the US side? - please check into this

If anyone else wants to ship the car, I have dealt with Hansen's forwarding every time and they are great (both service and price) - they will also refer you to a brokerage firm and everything will be taken care of easily

no they wont notice...

you can cross in your car and walk back if you wanted, they dont track what you leave and come back in. OR you could say you dropped it off at a garage there or that you sold it. its not any border agents job or care. as long as you arent transporting illegal(persons or substances)

was this car originally from the us?

I decided I don't want to cross the border to sell it

It's either you ship it or come up to see it and drive it back

Any Offers?

i looked into shipping it and the cost isn't too bad from a couple websites ranging from 975-1200 but what is probably driving most people away is that it is located in canada and the pics are lathered in sand and salt what does the undercarriage look like would also like more pics thanks [email protected]

I used Hansen in the past for shipping from the US to Canada and they were good

The car was actually wrapped by the previous owner to give it the pearl white color - so if anyone wanted a perfect paint, you would have to remove the wrapping as some areas can't be washed/cleaned - I personally didn't care about the color - I cared about the performance more which is why I bought the car like that

Underbody is spotless - no rust - rust proofed and very clean - I wish I took pictures when the car was getting an oil change 2 months ago
