Default '15+ WRX Downpipe / J-Pipe Development

We are in the process of finishing up our first batch of 3" J-pipes and downpipes for the '15+ FA20 WRX.

Each piece uses 3D CNC ported 1018 cold rolled steel flanges mated to 304 stainless 3" tubing. All products are handmade and checked for perfect fitment.

This downpipe / J-pipe assembly will be 2 pieces, giving customers the ability utilize the factory catalytic converter by using only the downpipe. A catted J-pipe will not be offered because there is no way for us to include a high quality cat for an affordable price. Most aftermarket cats offered with other downpipe / J-pipe assemblies are inferior compared to the OEM cat. Using the J-pipe will make the exhaust system catless.

Additional o2 bung is included for customers using a wideband sensor.

Our new welder Josh is finishing up the downpipe pieces. Pictures of fitment will be available next week, as well as testing on a local customer's car for dyno gains. Stay tuned!

Today was a big day for us! The mid pipe was finished being welded and allowed us to install the assembly for testing! Stay tuned for numbers!

We were just as excited as you were (I hope) for some dyno graphs! We couldn't be any happier with what we saw! All pulls were done today, the same day, with a stock 2015 WRX, 3" ETS dual exit exhaust and Cobb Stage 1 reflash.

Stage 1 Baseline

Stage 1 with Midpipe Only and OEM Primary Cat

Stage 1 with J-Pipe and Midpipe

Stage 1 Total Comparison

Midpipe: Overall we saw increased spool, an average 15-20 hp and tq gain throughout the midrange over stock, and 13whp / 18 ft/lbs tq at peak.

J-Pipe w/ Midpipe: We saw more spool, about 5 to 10 hp and tq midrange gain over just the midpipe, and the same who with 15 ft/lbs tq at peak.
