I definitely can't lease a car.

About 25 miles each way to work. Add another 20 or so if I need to pick my kid up from his mom's. All over the place on the weekends. A lot of road trips. It adds up quick...

Wooow, thats good for you. Do you have any major issue on racking up 140k miles? I hope mine could hit 140k like yours without any issue.

Just minor stuff, but I did need a couple of tows:

- Leaky slave cylinder left me by the side of the road. Wound up needing a replacement, but other than the scare, no issues.
- Snapped the intercooler bolt from the turbo housing, without access to my drill. My fault; another tow to the mechanic...
- Leaky steering rack my mechanic found while repairing the broken bolt. Thankfully didn't fail on the road. That's why I had the whiteline bushings put in.
- I just recently had to refill the coolant on my AC. Has been fine for a few weeks since, so I don't think anything's busted.

Otherwise, she's been really good to me. Which is great since I plan to keep this car until the wheels fall off...

Went stg 2 about 10,000 miles ago. Was stg 1 for maybe 25,000 before that.

Doesnt look like you took my comment as something rude, hard to convey my playful nature over text.

What I would personally do it get a fuel pump and an ebcs with a torque performance tune. That would be my stopping point if I was a manual. And if you don't mind the lost of the rumble, an ELH setup would be great as well. any more than that would be going overboard unless you like to do that. Just some things I've learned on my journey with my car.

No, not rude at all. This is my daily, so I'm absolutely not looking to go crazy. This thing needs to get me to work every day. The only reason I made the thread is to keep track of everything.

In the worst case, if I spin a bearing I'm just going to replace with a new OEM block, but she's done for now.

Earlier this year, I was feeling the pull to go bigger but it's not the time right now. I went so far as to impulse buy a BNR turbo, which is sitting as a paper weight on my desk at work. It's not even the direction I'd go if I WERE going to upgrade today...

Otherwise, I have some interior stuff that I want to do and I have to paint the Crawford spoiler before I install it. Maybe consider replacing the hood, which has taken the brunt of the road debris, but still deciding. And that's it. Thanks though...

I know a thing or three about impulse buys, I've got a basement full of them I definitely like what you've done with the car, nice mods, nothing overboard, that's always refreshing to see. Are you planning on keeping her around for another 137K miles or switching up into something different?

I would just like to reiterate what TrustKevin said about gettting a TP tune. Running that IC on the OTS tune might not be such a good idea. I'm not saying your car is going to blow up tomorrow, but you've increased your chances a lil bit. You aren't heavily modified but heed the warnings haha And if you do end up rebuilding, best thing to do is not throw in the same crappy pistons and bearings. At least go forged for those to prevent it from happening again

Thanks! As of now, the plan is to make some visual & interior updates and just drive it. I'm making the most out of no car payment. 300k miles would be fantastic...

Nah, I'm not worried at all about the top mount. I'm still considering if I want to retune or not, but if I do, it won't be because of the top mount. It'll be because I pull the trigger on just one more mod...

Regarding a rebuild; it's always a give & take. Sure a forged set-up would be stronger, but longevity is going to be worse. I drive this thing a LOT and I don't want to have to rebuild every few years. Well maintained and at stage 2 levels, I don't see a reason why a stock 255/257 would be an issue.

Not totally decided, but I don't have to make that decision yet. Thanks guys...

Very nice, what in particular are you planning? Ooohh yeah, owning a reliable car that's paid off is one of the best feelings in the world I'd say 300k is absolutely doable, keep going!

So, post rebuild and finishing out the break in miles, but everything is running great! Took some updated cell pics:

Post rebuild and wash:

The clear coat on the hood scoop was severely failed, so I had that and the rear spoiler wrapped to match:

I had the underside of the spoiler left naked, so the carbon fiber shows through:

Sort of quietly, I crossed the 9 year ownership mark in September. Had a couple of months chasing a random boost leak, which has finally been tracked down and eliminated. Bonus is that I have a bunch of new hoses and claps everywhere!

Spent some time repolishing the headlights recently, which made a friggen huge difference. Some mods are also waiting in the wings (intake, new AOS & turbo heat shield) and I'm contemplating some others, but she's driving marvelous right now. Just in time for boost weather.

Here's a pic from this week, dirty as ever:
