![]() Based on the fantastic results we've posted with our Garrett based 2015WRX turbo kit, we've had some interest on an EFR version. I don't expect the results to be as good, simply based on the IWG vs EWG benefits of the Garret setup. Regardless, some are attracted to the packaging of the EFR and it likely will be a less expensive option vs the Garrett version with recirculated EWGs. We shall see...
We'll start with an OEM to T4 (EFR) mounted adapter. It's inexpensive and has proven to work VERY well.

![]() I'm game as well, unfortunately as the market is saturated with kits and bolt ons it make a descission of which direction to go that much more difficult. But I love it free enterprise makes for unlimited possibilities! Keep up the good work guys!

![]() I don't know if I'd call it saturation. How many kits can you buy right now?

![]() Not really. We waited over 6 months for the EFR and when it showed up it had the wrong gaskets with two v-band clamps (neither of which were made for this turbo) and no fittings, adapters or lines. The install kit we were told we needed cost over $900 and again took 2 months to get. When that showed up it ad more parts and pieces that were wrong, than right and we were charged a 25% restocking fee on a bag of parts we never opened and only had in our possession for 2 days. Needless to say, I've been a bit soured on pushing to support the EFRs. On top of that, in the mean time, there's been even more data that's come out showing the EFRs are not nearly as stellar as the hype led on. We are continuing this project, and have made progress since the first post, but I would not expect any testing before summer.

![]() No. Well I suppose that depends on how you're comparing them. Yes they are both turbochargers, but there are significant differences in physical size, shape, turbine wheel/flow, flanges and flange sizes (both in and out), etc., etc... In short the differences are enough that they cannot just be easily swapped.

![]() Well the wheels and flow rates are different. Essentially the BW are sized between the Garretts. So there can really never be an apples to apples comparison. The dyno plots have confirmed as much. EFRs are not magic, they are in-betweens.

![]() The adapter comes as part of a kit. We have had requests for the adapter separately. What people come to realize is that they still need the rest of the parts in our kit. The kit is well thought out and saves you time.

![]() I think, unlike with the EJ engines, the Garrett turbo or OEM placement give enough the power they want, and can cap the fuel system. I also think the COTS turbos will become more popular as the platform ages, like they did ("rotated") turbos did on the EJ engines.
