Default UPDATE: now running cobb flex fuel software & map switching for water injection

NOT using e85, but wanting to use multiple maps...

Without being able to see the flex fuel tables until cobb releases it in acesstuner.

Has anyone thats used/tuned the flex fuel know if it would be possible to hook into the tgv input the flex fuel program uses, and use that to trigger map switching?

Basically, I'm wondering if I can use the flex fuel software/input, and wire in the AUX output of my aquamist controller, to switch maps?

That way I can have my regular 91pump map/boost/etc, and switch to another map/boost/etc when I have the water injection switched on.

Aquamist off, running pump91 maps, Wideband thru AP, new cobb CCF

Aquamist on, "100% ethanol" aka meth maps, wideband, new cobb CCF

Default Help!

Can you help explain how you wired your failsafe map switching.

I am looking to tap into the tgv like you did and use the orange aux wire. If you could please help!

Look in the big aquamist thread, I posted up all the wiring & settings in there.

Basically I'm using the aquamist's 5v switched output-into the ecu's TGV.

Instead of the TGV input, tie it to the test connector input. When you pull that to ground your ECU will go into low IAM mode and revert to the failsafe tables (accessable in accesstuner)

If you tune up your failsafe maps you loose protection from crap gas (accidentally putting 87 octane in). Ideal you'd tune this for the crappyist gas you can find, and if you're on 91/93 you just wont be getting all the power out of it.

The OEM ECU has map switching, you can do this without the Cobb map switching features. It's triggered by IAM as a failsafe if someone puts regular gas in the car. When you ground the test mode connector, it forces IAM to 0 and thus the use of the failsafe map.

You can repurpose this failsafe map as your meth off map.
