Ready to go on the machine now, utilising the experience from our world leading GTR VR38 WR35BB billet block program (ETS distribute this Stateside). WREJBB machined from a solid billet of 6061-T6 will be running in just over a month in our MY16 STi equipped with ETS 6870 Turbo system. Something of interest for the big power fans.

This is a different thing Tone - its a full street driveable version that all the standard engine bay ancillaries (water pump etc.) bolt onto. Not just a dedicated drag piece with limited cooling etc. Much like our GTR engine that you bolt in and go. No putting radiators in the trunk etc.

I wish there were billet heads to go with the block...?

It will be a fully closed deck, we just didn't show that part of it in the picture. Its going to be very unique

This is actually what the finished piece will be like - properly closed and extremely strong, but with full cooling.

After hanging around NASIOC for the better part of two decades the number one problem I've noticed with our engines is the lack of bottom end bearing surface area.

Does your design make any changes to this, or are you planning on running the same spec bearings and cranks as OEM?

Yes we are doing some work in the bearing area. This thing has to be reliable at BIG power levels. Getting the rest of the car ready for it too - 6 speed PPG sequential going in.

So will your block run an OEM crank, or a proprietary one?

We will be using a proprietary stroker crank - and this ETS turbo kit

WREJBB Willall Racing Billet Subaru first cuts on the machine this weekend. Will be ready for assembly by mid next week. Did anyone say 4 bolt mains?

I would love to see this as well. Be awesome if someone did this and made the exhaust side take a more logical path.

If I recall correctly there is basically a 90° turn on the driver side rear exhaust port, could be wrong been a bit sense I looked. All speculation but I think that was done for packaging and front cradle fitment that at the level we are talking about billet blocks a tube front cradle is a side note of the build. I looked at my OEM front cradle and my TSS FAB one and there are several extra inches of clearance on the TSS FAB unit.

We are actually talking about Billet Heads at moment as well for this....stay tuned. Will move this over to the Built Engine Section

Basically the same general layout? Or going to address the exhaust port layout in a away that moves the exit location more to the rear?

We will indeed be using a far more conventional and power productive port layout

I will be watching this because I'm mostly curious as to how you're going to do 4 bolt mains given limited room the cooling jacket. Well that and I think this could be pretty darn cool and relevant to my interests.
