My build thread is basically from 'the other WRX place', but here's how it sits now.

There's that NASIOC love!

Anyway...yeah, eventually. My car isn't my first priority so as my title states...slow and lame. I left no room for misinterpretation.

I'm still skeptical adding power additions having a CVT...plus I'm not sure I want to deal with any potential warranty issues with under 5k miles on the ODO. Suspension mods may be next.

Anywho, I think it looks great. Very classy choices. I like the wheels a lot.

I can take it. It's all good.

It took me longer than I had the car to decide which wheels I wanted. Not an easy decision I found.

Anyway, thanks. I'm all about subtlety. Getting close to 40...too old for flashy style IMHO. To each their own!

Ive debating getting a new wrx with cvt, as im getting older it seems to suit my taste more. Also in white, so I dig this ride. Id probably throw on an axle back exhaust and call it good.

Thanks...I love this body style in the white. My '08 was the dark grey, but we have that on our current XT so I went with something different. The orange paint freckles pop up fairly often (especially in Michigan winters), but clay bar works well to remove them.

I'm looking into exhausts right now and leaning towards the ETS CBE, but I may go with a simple axle back as well.

As for the CVT, I'd probably prefer a dual clutch style auto over this setup, but so far no major complaints. I don't see Subaru developing one anyway.

The stock tune is definitely goofy, but for now I'll live it.
Overall, no regrets!

Thanks!
You're on your second CVT WRX? Dare I ask why? I'm shopping exhausts now. Unfortunately I haven't been able to hear many with the FA engine in person. YouTube videos only provide so much info.

Thanks! And yes, there is this TQ converter upgrade available. I'm not sure if there are others. This is beyond my scope though.

Not to be a Debbie Downer...but this is not a "build". I get that you are making your car your own, but don't call a bunch of cosmetic mods a build; You didn't list a single performance enhancing mod on your list...

Oh, I see...so I can't list the things I've done prior to those performance enhancing mods. I must have done Stage 2, 3, etc before I can start a build thread? It's cool. You don't have follow it. Shall I change the title to 'My Slow & Lame WRX Journal'? Would that suffice?

Its not a build, so why call it one?

Yeah, tell him!
Honestly, I'll be doing the same thing probably for my new Impreza. It's a lease, and I'm a high-schooler (read: no money ), and it will be primarily cosmetic. Anyways, sweet ride, enjoy it!

Yeah...don't want to upset the build police.

Anyway, thanks...appreciate the kind words!

I've added the ETS 'quiet' CBE w/ resonator. It looks and sounds GREAT! I'm very happy with my choice. It compliments the FA motor very well.
It has a slightly louder and deeper tone at idle and cruising, but it's not 'boomy' nor does it really drone at all. At moderate or WOT it's much more aggressive and really wakes up, but it's not obnoxious in any way. I really like how much I can control the volume in direct proportion with the amount of throttle applied. Two thumbs up!

Recent purchases:
-Cobb AP (still running stock)
-TGV Delete (TiC - not installed yet)
-Fender Badge Ornament Set Gloss Black w/ White WRX Logo (waiting for warmer weather to install)
The fender badges should look nice on the CWP.

No complaints. Occasionally it beeps a bit too conservatively with objects in front of me, but overall it's been a nice feature. The adaptive cruise control is amazing...very effective.
