Default Changing the Spark Timing

my timing is too advanced, im getting a backfire thru my intake valves. so how do i set it back a few degrees? thanks ahead of time!

Brent- it's detonation, not backfire, i had some.. and look where my motor is now.. Your timing is off, you need to pull the timing belt and put a new one on. check your plugs and coil pack.
