You need to buy the ecutek software. You can then read your o2 sensor and adjust your fuel pretty accurately. With the dd, you can also retard you spark a bit which will be needed. Every car is different, but on my car I take out about 15% on all low throttle settings and high throttle is about 25% and up. You need the data logs to tune though.

Turborex what is your rpm graph look ilke from 1000rpms thru 8000rpms are you negitive on both hi and low? Or postive? What are your % on all the rpms? If you could post up what your mods are and your % that would help me out a bit.....My car starts to bog and back fire after 4000rpms and the care will not acselerate( go faster) cant spell. Thanks marc

My mods are 1820 turbo, tb no cat exhaust, and larger tmic. From memory my current settings are... low throttle is -15% thru all rpms. High throttle is the same until 4000 which is -24%, 4500 is -27%, 5000 is 30%, 5500 is -33%, 6000 is -33%, and 6500 is -31%.

I can honestly tell you that depending on weather and other factors, the %'s have to be changed up to 5% for each rpm range to keep the car running properly. I also retard the spark with the delta dash. If I could not retard the spark, I will get knock every time (I normally retard 5 degrees across all rpms). If you can't retard the spark, then I would take out no more than 25% above 5500. Even so, your timing could be 30 degrees or so.

If I was in your shoes, I would take out 15% in low throttle, and 20% at high throttle until you can read a/f (or egt), knock, and timing. My car runs very smooth right now. If I detect any hesitation at any time, a log will show a/f is off and timing is being pulled. I then reset with the safc and everything is fine. So far, a proper tune seems to be a moving target.

Good luck,

Greg

Am I missing somethig? I though that DD only did logs for WRX. Or are you in the posession of Ecutek? How are you adjusting timing with software?

You can retard timing (everywhere and all the time) up to 5 degrees. The downside is that you may only want to do it at certain rpms in open loop.
