Default Considering a 2000 2.5RS Coupe, help?

I'm more of a German car enthusiast, but I'm looking for a late model AWD Coupe, and since I can't afford an Audi, that leaves a Subaru, really

My cousin has a 2002 2.5RS Sedan, and it's pretty fun, if a little underpowered, so I did a little tiny bit of research, and learned I like the last generation's looks better.

Now, some questions:

How reliable are these machines?
What are common problems?
How tunable are they? Suggested mods?
Stock top speed, quarter mile, and 0-60?
Expected life out of a well-maintained powerplant and transmission?
What were the available options?
How are the seats? I like the current ones, pretty supportive, not bad looking.

Most importantly, let's see some photos, both stock and not!

I came from a 98 Audi 2.8Q sport package and previously a 90 M3. I now have an 01 RS Sedan. It takes track days quite well. I have yet to break anything. I'm an instructor and drive about 10 or so track days a year. Upgrade parts are cheap. Subaru makes 4 pot brakes that you can do an upgrade for about $700. Or just buy WRX front rotors and caliper brackets for less than half of that. DIY upgrades work pretty well for little money. Several reputible companies specialize in subie for further upgrades. Look into Cobb. Suspension stuff is all over....from just stiffer, adjustable shocks to full coilovers. Falken Azenis tires are extremely cheap and work well on the car if you want to go on the track but not buy extra wheels (I have 14 track days and 13k miles on mine so far). The car matches audi in the snow with good tires....Blizzak for me, thank you. It's cheap to buy and cheap to maintain.

What do you miss from KrautWorld? Anything you think back and really miss?

Edit: also, I'm a big fan of using OEM-Tuner parts. How expensive is STI stuff, in general?

How about catbacks, chip, intakes? Those would be the three I'd do first, most likely.
