Default 96accord's 2007 Subaru STi

I've previously owned a 2007 WRX Limited and a 2015 WRX Limited. I purchased the '07 WRX brand new in May 2007. I traded in the '07 WRX in July 2014 for the '15 WRX. Unfortunately I had some issues with the '15 WRX (it was stock) and traded it in November 2017 for a 2015 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Sedan. I daily the Accord

I was not planning on getting back into another Subaru but a friend tagged me in a Facebook post on one of the Subaru groups. After communicating with the seller I decided to fly out to look at the vehicle and test drive it. I ended up purchasing it and driving it back the same day.

The previous owner was not planning on selling it so he did some maintenance on it. He had all the receipts from the work. It had 87,900 miles on it.

Timing belt (105k service) @ 85k
Intake Air & Cabin Air Filters at 86k
Turbo inlet pipe (stock cracked, replaced with Perrin) @ 86k

Nice car looks clean. I just got another 04 STi myself, all stock and only 57K on it. GD is by far the best chassis after having many GD/GR/VA vehicles.

That is a righteous buy! Last MY before the WRX got about as big as the old Legacy rally racer.

I always liked the look of the Hawkeyes.

I'm planning to autocross the STi in the spring. I did a few autocross events in the '15 WRX and liked it (until the WRX had problems - not my fault/she was stock).

Need to figure out what other suspension bits I'm going to get (sways, bushings, ect).

Thanks! I didn't know you were still around. I see you still have the Hawkeye listed in your profile.

Thanks! Whoa it's super hard finding a clean GD anymore. Where did you have to go to get yours?

Found it for sale at Limerock in September, went down as I was looking for a car to buy in general, BMW, Subaru, whatever and there is usually a good assortment of unique cars for sale there. Second I pulled in I saw this car staring at me with a for sale sign on it, old guy standing next. Basically sprinted to him to talk to him about the car, 81 years old, owned it since new, factory stock its whole life, 2" thick maintenance binder from day 1. Never driven in winter, rarely driven in rain. Picked it up in Southern CT the next weekend. Parking it for the winter unfortunately, snowed today and more tomorrow .

(Sigh)

My old 2006 is for sale at a local dealership for $7,000 more than I sold it for. I'd love another one.

Your photos are stirring things. It's beautiful.

I sold my '07 last month man, just felt like it was time to let it go - that said, I still do miss it.

Oh wow! Didn't know it was in the game plan to sell it. Hope she went to someone that will care for her as much as you did.

At least you still have a Subie
