![]() Hello everyone!
I'm going to do the first oil change on my Ascent and also rotate the tires while I'm at it. I've done this so many times on my WRX's that it's kind of second nature where to jack the car up and put the stands but I'm trying to be cautious with the new ride, right? The floor jack points are basically the same but I'm interested in thoughts for the best places to use for the jack stands. I think I've found them and I'd like some second opinions just to be safe. Here are some pictures. Rear - Default assumption is jack would go where the two holes are in the black plate. There are similar plates on the front of my 09 WRX hatch. ![]() Front - This looks like a great spot - by default I'm thinking the jack stand would straddle the rubber grommet. There are even grooves that appear to allow a floor jack to sit nicely there. ![]() Thoughts? I'm sure if I'm thinking about doing something crazy that someone would set me straight. ![]() Thanks in advance!

![]() Welp I sucked it up and bought pinch weld adapters for my jack stands, so this post is already outdated. Still - interesting to see what people think.
