Default Question for Tuners

Has anyone been able to tune an Outback XT yet? Specifically an Outback Wilderness. The manual also states it was tuned for 87 octane but is there any benefit to running Shell 93 on the stock tune? Is the timing close enough to where 87 might see some knock or retard of the timing?

I use to mess around with tuning my LS1 car back in the early 2000's with EFI live but I have no idea how the programming is on these newer subarus. Does the timing work the same with relation to knock on the newer engines?

Thanks

Start by looking if they make Cobb AP or EcuTek for the chassis. If not, then maybe someone in Nigeria or far East has cared to crack it using other less known software solutions.
