Default Turbo crossmember swap ?'s

Hi all, I'm wondering what all needs to be swapped over on the turbo legacy crossmember? I'll be installing a 93 turbo legacy motor in my 96 legacy.
Obviously the crossmember itself but what about the steering rack and ties? Or would i use the 96 rack instead of the 93? If i used the 96 one would i need to swap over all the lines and pump too?

don't think you would need to swap out the steering rack

The pumps are compatible with different racks. The only changes are the "termination" of the lines at the pump side. I run a 97 legacy gt rack in my 90 legacy. Some use a sort of banjo while others use a nut with threads outside. (if that made any sense!)

You may not even need to swap the crossmember, make sure it's definitely different enough from the stock one.

The reason i say this is because a friend swapped an EJ22T into his 96 Brighton Impreza, and the x-member was not in the way.

A friend with an RS who was going to turbo it also swapped in a turbo x-member, with nothing else needing to be changed.

dave, i did not understand that, one guy used the x member from his old motor, and the other one used the x member from the turbo car? are you sure that an ej22T going into a 95 96 leg 2.2 will not need the x member from the turbo?
