Default How many are really getting one?

Alot of people lust after the STi, but I was just wondering how many of you are actually taking the steps to get one. I'm interested in getting a slightly used WRX once all the new ones come out because I can't afford anything else...(plus after all of you trade yours in to get an STi... there should be plenty around .. no?)

If I have the opportunity to purchase one I most likely will. I have my name on two waiting lists and I'm ready to retire my S4. The cost of this car is not a problem, it is less than an S4.

Maybe in 2 years. I just bought the WRX 1.5 years ago. It's too soon to change cars. I can't afford higher monthly payments at this point (wedding, new house, etc.).

Default purchase

I purchased a RS in September of 97, and lobbied hard for the WRX to come to the states. When the WRX finally did come I wasn't impressed with the styling and it was not at the right time for me. I have patiently waited for the redesign and now we are given a gift from Subaru..the mighty USA STi all decked out.

I'm guranteed (from wife and dealer) a STi when it comes this spring/summer. 99.9% chance.

I've got $13K left on my WRX loan, so I was planning on waiting to a point where I could sell my WRX for about $8000K more than what is left on the loan. That way I could buy an STi and keep my monthly payments about the same as they are now with a little extra cash saved up. This is assuming the STi is ~31K though.

So I will be seriously thinking about an STi next spring. But not this summer.

I am no2 on the list for one, have been for ages, my WRX is only 1.5 years old, and there is still a considerable amount on the note left, not to mention all the stuff I've done to it, that I'd have to remove if I were to trade it.

I might just wait till next summer, after my wedding - and getting the note down further.

I just paid off my WRX and I want to enjoy that feeling for awhile

But there will be an STi in the future for me, that's for sure.

I wish. But I'm about to go back to college for (hopefully) 4 years and won't be able to take my car there. so my new rex will be sitting around doing nothing.

Maybe when I'm out of college and if I get a good enough job I'll get one. I want one SOOOOOO bad.

*I almost feel bad wanting such a nice car when I already have a wrx though. Shouldn't I just be happy with what I have?

Not me.

I'm saving for vf30, and ECUtek.

I'll be happy with 300 whp on my "old skool" WRX.

2002 WRX Wagon

First on list at area dealer.

Gonna trade in the [future] wife's car for the STi, and she'll get the 2002 WRX wagon.

I have a lease ending in the summer on a MY00 Boxster, and I can replace it with a car that I'm more enthused about for *less* cash. Works out nicely for me.

I'm already on the waiting list... I'm driving a beater until it arrives so that I have no car payment...

I will own one, no question.

Sticking with the WRX for now. I'm looking forward to the day I line up next to a STI, give him props for his car, and then proceed to smoke him in my plain old WRX Of course, if he has modded his car, then I might have to re-think my plan....

I was going to sell my car this month but figured I'll wait a couple of months to sell it and keep some parts for the STi.

I'm also in the top 5 (but first to put deposit down) in my area for a White WRX!

I love this car!!!

My WRX is silver and stock with the wing. I may consider selling it some months from now, It'll probably have about 20k by then.. Email if you're interested. I would love to sell it to someone who appreciates the WRX.

I am supposedly #1 in my dealer ( owner is a friend of mine) and I got approval from my CFO...my wife

Now who wants a 02 WRX WRB mint, 11,116 miles, going either way in the spring. (sold/ traded) No tire kickers please. Wife drives the car 90% of the time.

I am workin every angle to get one,
got a buyer lined up for my wrx ( friend of mine ) to purchase
it in june/july ish, savin up for the down to try and bring the payments down. tryin to pay off my streetbike with my tax return ( or killing the credit cards , regardless, less monthly outgo ) so I can afford it, I think the wife is reluctantly allowing me to do so since it seems I have figured out a plan on this. sellin all my extra toys too, dj stuff etc etc... so yea, I will have a white one some months from now.

My WRX ended it's life on a pole last year. I could get another one but I decided to drive a beater through winter and get an STi. Man I'm glad I made this!
1st on the list from half a year.
I hardly can wait. I want it now!!!

I'm selling my Rex right now to get an STi, already put a deposit down.

Email me: [email protected] if you're interested. 5spd, 25000 miles, WR Blue, Excelon Stereo with Rockford Components and JL 10" Sub. I've been running it on 17" Prodrive P1's which I could be tempted to sell with it, although they'll make a good set of snow wheels . The original tires and wheels have about 1000 miles on them.
