Default canada and the sti.... yada yada...

figure i'd put in a few tidbits for the canucks here...
i'm sure it's all been said before,.. but now it's all neatly in one thread

no evo viii this year in canada. due to the relatively small market here and the restructuring of mainly the bumper heights and other safety considerations for manufacturing standards it will not be re-worked for canada. but i'm sure they will make a homologation evo the next time around for the world market.

sti, as most cars, will have a lower equivalent dollar cost here in canada compared to the us due to economic reasons. this of course does not mean we are getting a 'deal' when you factor all the 'reasons' for lower msrp's in canada. ...and i'm not complaining. i'm guessing around 43-45cdn. right in the neighborhood of the g35/350z/rx-8/325ci/a4 3.0/etc..

as soon as the official info was out my friend's dealership had 10 deposits in that day! and considering 4-5000 units in north america i think canada will be looking at a 10th of those.

ummm,... i think that's the only canadian specific info i can think of... ...,....slow day at work

until turbocharged monkeys fly out of my butt, make mine subaru!!

Canada will get the EVO9.

I heard pricing on the STi will be between $45-$48k. Let's hope so.

As for the wait lists, I guess I just get to enjoy my S2000 a little longer before this bad boy finds its way into my garage . . .

Yes. Sub $50k pricing is what I also heard. Canadian dealers get a "canadian intro" in may at the race track in Mt. Tremblant. They get to try them out (along with the turbo Forester).

I'm crossing my fingers for $45K or at MOST less than 50K. over that, and its just nuts.

Eric.....you gonna get me a test drive in one of these bad boys?

I'm saving my money for a more powerful Legacy either way.......

do de do.....

Word is "No test drives for nobody". If he is not going to buy without a test drive then he doesn't know what its about. We may get 2 or 3 but not completely sure. Already have one who said he is in with 2 more big possibly.

Like you said though Goose, I am still getting my Legacy.

Now just to see if we get the frozen-tundra weather package in the STi... doubt it, but I don't mind building an iglarage.
