Post Update on 2.5L project

The long block is assembled. It consists of a 2.5L shortblock and a set of 2.2L heads. The heads are ported and the valves were backcut for more airflow. The intake has beed also ported, throttle body blade has been slimmed down.We have installed 2 volkswagon cold start injectors on the top of the intake for more fuel that will be activated by a hobbs switch. The turbo kit from last year will be used with a mid pipe upgrade from a 1 3/4 to a 2 1/2 with the cat removed. We will be running 10psi of boost but it will get increased as time goes on.I know the compression is high so we will slowly turn up the boost. The clutch we ordered is a 6puck disk and plate to handle the power.
Our goal that i have set is to go over 100mph in the 1/4 mile. The car has gone [email protected] at 5psi of boost with the worn out 2.2l.
I will keep the list updated.

what's the turbo and what are you using to manage it? done right, 100mph w/ 10psi shouldn't be too much of a problem, I don't think

We are using a T3 turbo with a .69 exhaust housing. We are using the factory ecu. It`s a 1990 legacy 2wd.We tune by egt and stay in the 1450 deg. area.We added the 2 injectors on the intake for a total of 6 will be used so we can control the fuel pressure. We ran before at 65psi to get the temps down.So with 2 extra injectors we can tune the temp down and the injectors won`t have to work so hard.
We use a walbro 340 fp that is hot wired to the alternator.
The goal of 100mph is just the goal we set.I beleive if the motor stays together it mite go better than we expect. We want to go in the 12`s with this 2wd.It will have the mph for it.
