Question strange sound at high rev

I don't know if this belongs to the right thread and don't know if this has been asked before since I don't even know how to search for it.

Anyhow, I was simply having fun with the WRX, while I was in 3rd gear and under high rev, (couldn't remember) I heard a "wooo" sound, the sound is not loud but audiable under highspeed. I can't determin if the sound comes from outside or inside of the car but feels like it's from right side of rear passenger side area.
I only heard the sound once and afterwards no matter how hard I rev it never came up again.

Today I was just driving and felt like flooring it, so I shift to 3rd and reved up to about 6k..I heard the sound again!!!!..just once..

based on my car setting I have the boost set at 16 psi in 4th gear.. buy anyways could that be some sort of fuel cut warning?
or warning for close to redline? anyone had this experience before?

You must have been doing around 130+mph

Its the mirrors. The sound comes on and its like a high pitched "wooooooo"

It comes on and off like a its on a switch but it has to do with the way that the side mirrors are designed.

Let me know if thats the sound your talking about. Its really high pitched.

I don't know if that's the mirror causing the sound. I felt the sound come from right side and more towards rear. I am sure that I wasn't even going above 90 at the time. As I have described, the sound goes away when I left the gas, after that even I floor it again the sound is gone.
