Default Anyone know of any sub 12lb 17" wheels?

I'm just asking because I just shipped my old rims out today and the FedEx scale said 11.4 lbs. with the box. So I figure around 11lbs for a 17x7 wheel itself! Holy Cow! I even asked the worker if the scale was broken and she said it was working fine. Now I regret selling these.

Which wheels were those??? The Superturismo Evolutions? I thought those were heavy pigs.

I know that Centerline makes a wheel that is around 12-13 lbs in 17" A local WRX guy has them on his car. I don't particularly like the looks of them, but they are quite light & resonably priced.. I think the 18" versions are still only 15-16 lbs.

Thanks - Jon

What wheels were they? I'm assuming they were forged. I don't know of any non-exotic material wheels that would be lighter than 11lbs. for 17x7. I'm sure some magnesium wheels are that light in that size.

i've seen velox pg5s sp? in 17's that weigh around 12 lbs. also, they have these volk te-37's in 18x8.5 that weigh 12.9 lbs, but then again, they're forged magnesium.
