I have to ask, where and how did this trunk monkey trend start? Was it just a spin off from those Internet commercials where the monkey comes out of the trunk and takes care of biznass?

I rescue them from thrift stores and yard sales. They are then put through an extensive rehabilitation and training program before placement with responsible and caring owners...

It cannot be bought. You must go into the wild and lure one to your trunk with plenty of alcohol. They're also very picky creatures. The Canadian ones will only respond to beer.
