Default 97 legacy GT needs new Engine :(

I blew the Engine In my 97 Legacy GT I was wondering what my options were for a swap almost anything within reason will be kept in mind, It has a manual transmission. Is a 2002 WRX engine possible or what kind of other options do I have

You have a lot of options here most of which depend on how deep your wallet is.
Any wrx motor will fit and work. I would get the usdm 2.0 to keep headaches to a minumin. You could swap in a svx 3.3 or the newer 3.0 H6, but these swaps are difficult and expensive.
I'm in the process of swapping something (yeah, don't know which motor yet ) into my legacy. Probably the newer usdm 2.0 with goodies to make 300 hp.

If you could post some pics that would be great also what is needed to do this swap. ex: Wrx 2.0 Motor, Wireing harness, PCU, Tranny ect, ect.

Your best bet is to get an entire wrecked car. You could go with a 91-94 turbo legacy and basically have everything you need. Same with the 02+ wrx. The wrx is the by far better choice as you more than likely won't have to rebuild the motor or have to worry about putting an older engine into a newer car.
There are plenty of pics around just search for them on what you're looking for.
