Default Greddy 52mm EGT Gauge Needle stuck at 1200 Celcius...

yes, I have searched and haven't found much on this. I just installed the Greddy EGT Gauge in my RS and when I turn the car off, the needle goes past the 12 mark on the right.

When I turn the car back on, after about 4 minutes, the gauge starts functioning again. Very weird.

I don't think I have the wires connected wrong:

12v Constant: #4 Fuse Box (Cigarrete Lighter)
12v Switched: #? Washer
Illumination: #? Illumination Location on the Fuse Box
Ground: Bolt that holds the brake pedal assembly to the firewall of the car.

I unplugged it and the gauge needle goes back to the bottom as normal soooo I don't know.

Any ideas? Perhaps I do have the 12v Switched or one of them screwed up...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

Why would you hook a 12v constant to Cigarette Lighter fuse? Wouldn't you want to connect that wire straight to the battery?

12v Switched may be ok in that position. I used the cigarette lighter wire.

Illumination has nothing to do with your problem.

Ground seems to be ok.

I'll just go back and use a damn relay like had originally planned to power my 4 gauges and other things that need 12v constant and 12v switched....

I just wanted to use this as a temp solution while i get the other gauges...

The cig wire for power is likely your problem. I know in the 02+ it is not constant voltage with the key off so when you kill power the gauge stops functioning.

Sounds like you are headed the right way with the relay though.
