Default What's the carrying capacity?

Search is down.

What's the cargo capacity (not towing) for the bed on the Baja?

It's not a lot, however it is much more than what is available in any sedan. Not everyone is into wagons however the Subaru wagons are gorgeous. We were so close to getting one, that is,till we saw the BAJA

Default The label...

on the driver's door jamb states 800 pounds as the payload. I would also ask to see the owner’s manual to verify that, as there seems to be some inconstancies as to this load, as published by SOA.

According to all the literature that I have found on the baja, it has a payload compasity of 1050lbs. I have heard that the drivers door jamb states 800lbs, but I believe that is there for liability reasons so if someone overloads the car/pickup SOA is not heald liable (most likely brouht on by the SOA leagal department not the true specs.). Everywhere I look, it states it has a 1050lbs of payload. When I spoke with a sales person just after the baja came out they said that the payload is 1050lbs and the towing is 2400lbs.

Read the editors review at edmonds.com:

If you want to find more, here is the google search that I did:
