Default Debadging

Please don't flame me for this, since I'm a Suby newbie... but I just bought a 2004 Silver WRX - and I like the way the rex's look debadged. Now when I pull the letters off, is it going to leave goofy stuff on the paint? Or do I just pull the letters off, and everything will be fine. If anyone has done this before, please give me some pointers. If anyone thinks I SHOULDNT debadge - you can post too. Thanks guys.

Search on "debadge" or "debadging". This has been covered more times than I care to count.

However you choose to remove them, you might have some residue left behind. A little Goo-gone followed by waxing the area in question should take care of it.

Enjoy your ride!

Simple debadge procedure:

1) Pick a sunny hot day so the letterings will be hot, or use a hairdryer.

2) Either slowly pry them off with your nails or use dental floss to "saw" them off.

3) Use adhesive remover such as goo gone, wd-40, to get the residue off, or slowly roll it off with the pads of your thumbs.

4) once its all clean, give it a good wax and you're done!
