Default Bulkhead wiring harness?

This is the harness that plugs into the ecu and feeds through the firewall right???? This is the one that gets spliced??

The bulk of the BWH is under the dash. It runs through the firewall twice. This is from a JDM Ver1 but it should give you an idea. It is the one that needs to be spliced for most swaps.

In a VERY plain description, basiclly you need everything from the engine side of the BWH and all the wires leading to the WRX ECU and splice those into your RS BHW because that is what your dash will remain as. So in a nutshell from the two BWH you need:
WRX-engine wires
RS - interior wires
I'm sure someone can chime in and give you a more elaborate description. Or call i-speed and ask why you pay them so much to do wiring service and they might explain it to you.

Like Puckaveli said, all you would need to do is splice the front BWH into your existing wiring inside the car as well as intercept all wires that must go to the ECU and route them appropriately. This is all heresay of course, since I haven't started on my wiring yet.

Let's say you are dropping a WRX motor and tranny into a 2000 RS and nothing else. If you get a complete WRX BWH and a RS BWH, then just get the pinouts for the WRX ECU and go down the list one pin at a time and think "does this wire go to a system that is in the dash or in the engine". Engine systems will require the WRX portion of the BWH and the dash systems will require the RS BWH. For example from my swap:
Plug B44/terminal 17 is the radiator fan 1 control - that is in the engine bay and would be controlled through my JDM harness and would not need spliced.
Plug B44/terminal 19 is the malfunction indicator light - that is in my dash so it is controlled through my RS harness and would need spliced.
Plug B44/terminal is the pressure exchange soleniod valve - that is in the engine bay and is controlled by my JDM harness and would not need spliced.

When you look at the pinouts there really are not a lot of wires that need spliced.
