Default Lower resistance plug wires?

My #3 spark plug wires went out a few days ago and I had a bad miss fire. But before I put the new set in I measured the resistance of the new one and they were about 1k ohm each wire but stock wires were about 7k ohm each except for #3 that was open. The specs from the subaru manual states that the wires should be about 7k ohm to about 16k ohm.

The car runs much smoother than before now. I'm just wondering is there any thing good or bad with running lower resistance wires.
