Aren't those last cars basically a rebodied Nissan of some kind? I vaguely remember something about a company that rebodied newer cars so that they appeared to be classics.

Yes, that's what Mitsuoka basically does. Takes different Nissan chassis' and engines and makes retro-lookin cars.

Kind of like this one. Classic Jag front-end.
Boy the Japanesse are very loyal to their products. I didn't see one import there. Are imports readily available over there?

Most European cars are available here...as are many American cars. I've seen plenty of Cadillacs and a few Hummer H2's around.
