Well, voiding 100% of your warranty is illegal. It doesn't matter what you've done to your car performance wise, if your power window motor goes out at 10,000 miles for example, the dealer is still responsible for making the repair under warranty. Messing with the ECU in any way is definitely running the risk of having a multitude of components of your car not covered under warranty though. According to Cobb, most dealerships do not currently have the equipment to detect the reflash. Of course, all they'd have to do is drive the car around the block to figure out its not stock anymore. My advice is, if you're worried about a warranty, do not modify your car. Otherwise, trying to claim warranty work on parts you've degraded as a result of modding is unfair to everyone needing legit repairs. If you want to play, you gotta pay IMO... I look at it this way: if you sold someone a new computer, then a few months later they came back to you wanting repair work done and had replaced some internal components without your knowledge, would you want to touch it for free? Probably not...
