Default Modding / repairing my 98 OBS

Hi guys,

Just bought a '98 OBS with 56k about 6 weeks ago.

So far, I've completed the following mods:

snorkusectomy
JVC SX990 w/infinity speakers
Cruise control (partial - I need the vacuum fitting that screws into the manifold)
I am planning on adding:

factory fog lights ($20 - not too bad),
16" WRX wheels (what all-season tires should I get?)
Last week, I was driving in the mud and ground 2nd gear trying to get it in. Now I can't shift into 1 or 2, but the others are fine. There is a post in the tranny forum.

Anyhow, should I upgrade gears for this car? If so, can I just buy 1 and 2 and stick with the stock gears for 3 4 and 5?

I'm also looking at installing the Exedy Flywheel (12lbs). Anybody have any experience with this? The car is my daily driver, so it has to be streetable.

Far future plans include a turbo kit, 2.2-2.4L legacy turbo engine, sway bars.

just an update

it doesn't seem possible to just buy a partial gearset for my 5mt, so due to expense I am just going to repair the stock one or possibly replace it with a used tranny (if I can source one)

I'm close to locating my WRX wheels, but the last deal seems to have fallen through.

I figure I'll find my tires on tirerack.com.

the fog lights, exedy flywheel, kartboy shifter & bushings, and STi tranny mount are all enroute ...

If you're eventually going to go Turbo and have a dying tranny now, you might want to find a Legacy GT Tranny or Gear Set for it as they are stronger than the regular gear sets and WRX gear sets as well.
