Question Will Rota Tarmac fit?

Will the 17 x 7.5 Tarmacs fit on STi brakes? I searched through the thread about wheels that fit over STi brakes. Someone brought this up, but nobody was able to answer that. I really want those for winter use. They look pretty good compare to the P1.

Default Alternate Rota wheels for STI

I needed another set of wheels for my STI for winter-all weather tires. Keeping the BBS's for summer racing tires.

I'm not saying I'm an expert, but I looked at a lot of websites and talked to several folks on both coasts about this subject.

I found that there are only two model Rota wheels that fit a 2004 STi over those humongus Brmbos:

1. SDR's
2 Downshift (a brand new model)

I bought a set of downshifts, which reqired a new set of lugnuts from SubyDude... who seems to me like a nice guy and reputable person.

So do the SRD's require new lug nuts, too?

Subydude told me the downshifts would NOT fit over the STI Brembos. Have you tried them yet? I like the looks of the downshifts but he sent me the following email last week:

Hi jeff,

They will notů only the SDRs fit over the brembo brakes.

I hope the above information helped.

Please feel free to call us or email us if you have any other questions.

Happy Racing!
