Default great reactions to the Sti

Second day driving the car, was pulling up to a light in the Hamptons and a guy in the pass. seat of a new Range Rover shouts "Holy $hit!" and points down at my STi as I roll by him burbling in second.

A few minutes before three teenagers completetly froze mid conversation and slowly turned their heads to follow the car as it drove by -all three had their mouths wide open

I think I'm gonna like driving this car.

Hehe. Rarely, a day goes by where I don't get reactions liek that. The only people you don't get reactions from are people who know nothing about cars and Honda owners who bury their head as you blast pass them!

As a non-STi owner I have to admit that I do the same thing. Every STi I see gets one of these...

I still have yet to actually see an STi in person

Oh well, I guess the first one I will get to see will be mine next month. I can't hardly stand the wait (and then I have to suffer through the break-in period).

Im on my break in period now (only 5 days old), and its amazing how much attention i'm getting. From hot young girlies, to trucker dudes honkin their horn.

Most people I notice dont know much about the car except "nice ride homez". It's nice to get those responses like "thats pushin 300 right?" from those guys with some incite on what I'm pimpin around.

Sad to say it, but this half the reason why I'm gonna get the car =p.

An Integra with the "VTEC" badge and HUGE exhaust was trying to race me, while I was testing my car to see if it pings on my mixed 93 concoction last night

You should try parking your STi in a Middle School parking lot. The kids at my School ( I'm a teacher) always ask me tons of questions about my car.
Luckily, the kids aren't allowed to go into the parking lot (they don't drive to school yet) but they walk near it (20 feet away) on the sidewalk and look at it. They always ask me questions about it. " Does it have NOS?" " How fast is it?" You get the idea.

The Assistant Principal also told me the other day that the kids were all talking about my car. Pretty cool, but also scary, if you know what I mean.

Default Revvin' and WRXin'

Two incidents in two days:
A modded, older Mitsubishi Eclipse pulled up next to me while we're both doing 30mph. After a pause, he floored it, doing his impression of the Space Shuttle Challenger inside a coffee bean can. That was when I was coming home from the car store for the very first time.

On my way to McDonald's I was waiting at a red light to turn left. I notice a black car roll up on my left and rev at me. It was a WRX. "Hey is that the new STi?", he says. "Yep, that's right," I replied. "How fast is it?", he asks. "Well, I'm still breakin' it in."
"Ah man, I was hopin' you could use my car to find out how fast it is." I told him that his car looked sweet with black rims. He starts to tell me about all his mods on the car. Hey that was cool; I guess all the WRXs and Imprezas always band together, huh?

Peace out,
