i've been wondering about this too but the only person i kno of ever using one is Mr. Sam Rigoli. according to one of his posts:

"It made the same power as the Hi Tech muffler that was on it (Hi Tech muffler is 3" straight through), but the only problem was that it was too loud( meter only read to 130db, it hit the limit) but there was no catylitic converter or resonator and it was a trial muffler so i don't know what the noise levels or specs are on the retail one as the original one had to be made quieter. It performed well as the Hi Tech muffler is the best in Aust for turbo cars, but it was just a bit noisy."

i guess not too many ppl have it. i mean, it is made specifically for turbo and that rules out most of the rs owners in america...

note: Mr. Rigoli, if u dun like me having quoted u, jus post and i'll edit it out, i dun wanna cause ne trouble or neding, jus tryin to help out...

if you have a N/A engine, a 3in exhaust is useless. you need to find ya a good 2.25 or 2.5in exhaust.

Would 2.25 help more and lose less torque then a 2.5" or there really no difference?

Hi there,

I have run a full BPM twister on my car..

It worked great.. especially at the top end.. I have no actual figures for it, but it seemed to sacrifice the bottom end for the top end. Please remember this was on a turbo'ed car.

I wouldnt want to comment on the results for fitting on to a N/A car. But I would say that fitting the "turbo" version of the twister would be a big mistake.

I currently run the BPM downpipe (superb!) with a custom 3" mid and rear on my turbo impreza.

Works a treat... but too noisey at present (no cats or resonator) its over 100db..

I'm going to be fitting a resonator to drop it to the mid 90's db.

Is pretty much right...The Twister MKii with 3" piping is an overkill for NA vehicles. The MKiii has just been released and is aimed at the individual who needs a faster spool up of turbo, smoother power response, reducing of all flat spots in powerband and stunning looks it is also aimed at NA vehicles.

As to the Hitech side , the Shell Helix team dynoed them this week and the Twister MKiii outflowed every single competitor including Borla, Maganflow, DynoMax, Hooker etc...

Dick Jonhsons team has switched their entire crew to the Twister MKiii and over 50% of the Group A teams in Australia run them.

I think Speedvision covers the races..

We have a giant killer in the new design and it will become a universal product.

If anyone needs pics , please email us for the new Twister MKiii.
