They are probably worth every penny, in the worst way. Search for posts about "ebay coilovers" as these look to be EXACTLY the same thing.

Have to agree with Ciper, RActive is garbage. And you still need a strut to go with them. And the only thing that matches up with crap is crap.

it sounded to good to be true

guess i'll stick with the AGX/Eibach combo. Found some AGX for $385 shipped. Any site that sells Eibachs for cheap?

VOLTIS5,
Be aware of the 1.5in limit when lowering with the AGX strut. More than that and warranty issues are to be faced if there is a failure. I've had mine on for over a year now with WhiteLines and no problems. Good luck with your handling project! I'm certain you'll find it eye-opening!

oh, and tire rack did had eibachs, i got mine off ebay for 212 shipped. there is a guy on there that lists them some times. it will be a universal auction, it says you tell him what springs you want out of springs for the impreza, legacy, or wrx.

i am board so i thought i would look for ya. he lists them cheaper now, but he raised the shipping price. so you are still coming out to a total of 210. that is a good deal.

Question H&R, Eibach or Whiteline

i read somewhere that the H&R has a 1.2f/1.0r drop where as the Eibach has a 1.2f/1.2r. I really don't want to lower my car but if i were to get the struts with it which springs should i go for? I'm trying to get the one with the least drop if possible and something that would accommodate the AGX without the headaches.

there are tons of pics of guys on here with lowered cars. i have a set of eibachs but am waiting for some gr2's. the gap from the agxs is not bad, look at biggreen's car, his gap from using imp agxs isn ot bad at all. if ya cant get whitelines then go to tirerack.com and get some springs, i think they have them for like 210. they are h & r and i think those would give about the same as the eibachs. or get coilovers.

If you want Whiteline springs try PDM Racing. They sell them for $200 and also have a AGX Strut/Whiteline Spring combo deal for $600.

I'm personally running Eibach's with V5 Struts and the drop is nice. Here's a couple pics of my ride and a couple other Toronto Legacy Club members for reference:

Silver Legacy (Cajual): Eibach/V5
Green Legacy (etam): H&R/V5
Black Legacy (2WDBITES): Eibach/AGX

Cajual-
would the AGX/Whiteline combo (for the RS) that PDM have work for the Legacy? Wasn't sure if it would.

BTW, how much for the V5 struts?

Well, the AGX's are made for the RS, but would work fine for the Legacy (they don't have a Legacy specific application). You could ask them to substitute the Impreza Whiteline springs for Legacy specific ones, since they are the same price separately. The Impreza springs would probably be too bouncy because the Legacy is heavier.

The price seems to jump up and down for these struts. A couple years ago, I think they went for about $300, but the going price new is a little over $600 now. Better check around for current prices. BTW, they were a snap to put in... perfect fit!

I wish all the Legacy's I see on the road were as sharp-looking as those three. Then they'd stand out of the crowd even more than they already do.

V, how much money do you have for this? Looking at v5's now?? Money no object, I think I would personally go for the v5/Whiteline setup for everyday driving. It'd probably be quite a bit stiffer than the GR-2s though. Am I wrong? Has anyone compared the two setups directly with similar springs?

Incidentally, PDM is a good vendor if you've never used him before, V. I bought my rear rotors and pads from him without incident.
