Post OT: is that beetle AWD?

i just saw this VW commercial, a green beetle was driving in a winter storm in front of a snowplower ... the beetle downshifts and accelerated away from the plower. Then the beetle even drove thru the snowbank onto his driveway (igloo garage)

@ the end of the commercial, it just says GLX, so i guess a FWD can drive like that too? cuz i remember hearing that beetle may get AWD...?

will there be any commercial for our WRX from SOA? now that BMW 3-er has an AWD too, we can't ask em for a race! (tho that was the Legacy)

hehehe..i will race you suby in my soon to be bimmer
most likely a wagon too or an M3 or 330Xi..i am leaning towards the M3 or 3 series wagon. If the wagon, here i come dinan supercharger

actually the 330Xi is pretty freaking quick i drove one (either yesterday or 2 days ago..lol can't remember what day) and i was dang impressed by it. NOt suby style AWD, but maintains a RWD balanced feel untill "slippiage" occurs. BUT i would still rather have my subbie with the good motor

lol..anyhow.. VW is bringing over the 4motion (their version of audi's quattro..VW can only use an Auto in the US bc of audi and their "heritage" for the setup, so they are using a steptronic in the new golf AWD coming out sometime. The passat already is out, and the beetle is rumoured to be geting either a vr6 type motor, or a 5cylinder turbo motor and AWD. this was lifted off the Vee Dub section of a couple car mags. They all seem to point in the same direction..kinda like our position a year ago..rumours of the WRX..now it is coming in 20 some odd days

lol..i am really rambling on and on and on so i guess that i will shut up now. lol

yeah~ i've ride on the 330xi b4 too, accelerate pretty fast... but it has those electronic stuff like DSCIII (ESP...), which i don't favour much.

330xi has 225hp & 214ft/lb and it weights over 1600kg, can it beat the WRX? emm... and the DSC may slow u down a tiny bit? nevertheless, i think the 2 cars are in different market - price?

btw, do u konw what is the exact power distribution on XIs? and also the dist. for the 4motion? thanks!
