Post Which is the 2002's is best off-road?

It's between the 2.5rs, the sport wagon, and the outback sport.

But here is the thing..will the '02 Impreza Outback Sport be that much better off-road?

It probably has a little higher ground clearance, just like previous model years.

The OBS has a higher ground clearance than either the TS or RS. It has bigger wheels than the TS. The OBS has a heavy duty, raised suspension as well (TS has normal, RS has sport).

If you're going offroad just to get somewhere, the OBS should be better for that than the other two. If you're going to rally race, that's a different issue altogether.

Hope this helps.

Smaller rims are better off-road. I would say the raised height of the OBS more than off-sets this though. If you really want to go off-road, stop kidding yourself and buy a Jeep.

I dont think its a big enough difference to warrant the extra weight and softer suspension.

Everyone's RS seems fine in the dirt/ruff stuff, no?
