Default Most popular cams

I may eventually want to take the next step up in power mods for my street/rallycross driven 2002 OBS, since I've already done pulleys, intake, and full exhaust. I've searched and found bits and pieces of info on cams, but no summary on what's currently in use. Cobb's street performer cams seem to get some discussion, but has anyone tried the other offerings: TWE, JA, Paeco etc? Any comments on performance, day to day drivability, CEL's, idle quality, cold weather (-20F) drivability?

Looks like I'm the first to reply... your choice of cam will depend on MANY things. You already listed many of the questions you should ask about a cam's performance. For me, it was: drivabiliy, improved lift/duration w/o much increase in overlap. Also, at the time I knew I would try to go turbo someday so I needed a cam that would be turbo friendly (which all the "stage 1" cams should be). Look at the cam specs, if the spec is the same, and the machining processes are the same... let your wallet decide.
