Default has anyone used a Mondial roof rack?

i'm trying to buy some crossbars for my car. i got a 99 sedan. i was wondering if anyone has used these racks before. i like how it doesn't have the excess bar hang off like other racks, but i'm not sure if it will give enough clearance from the roof. i wanna be able to put 4 snowboards on it for the season, and need enough room for the bindings to hang down from the upside down boards.

heres a picture i found of the rack:

Dunno anything about those racks, but.... I have a Barrecrafters bike rack on my car, and I like it. I know they make great snowboard racks, too.

That pic you linked doesn't really look like the bars will be tall enough to clear the bindings. But is that the whole thing? Because the snowboard clamps should add a few inches. I know Thule makes some extra-high feet to do just what you're looking for...

And as far as crossbars that overhang? I simply cut mine down to size with a band saw. I'm always amazed at folks who drive around with ~8" of excess bar sticking out right where your eyeballs are!

You don't know about it..

Get a Yakima rack and then cut the bars with a pipe cutter. Then slide the caps on. Custom length bars.

With my setup right now, I can carry 2 bikes and 4 pairs of ski's all at once.
