I'm actually going to get a salvage title registered in Michigan.

From the little reading that I've been doing, you have to have the Secretary of State inspectors inspect it to make sure it's safe and running fine. You will also have to show proof of receipts of all your parts that you bought to get it roadworthy. You might also have to pass an emmisions test but I'm not 100% sure in MI.

Just save all your receipts.

Post Project car/salvage title questions

Anyone know what's involved with getting a salvage titled car back on the road?

I know it's probably different from state to state.

I'm looking for a non-RS Impreza rolling chassis. preferably in the 1000-2000 dollar range, and a wagon. I'd like the bodywork on it to be minor if possible...most likely a light front hit.

If the CRX sells...I should have some cash put toward another car....

Thumbs up

Aspen, AFAIK there are no emissions tests required in MI, even for salvage cars. Hope this helps.

How come all the vehicles at Copartfinder say "this vehicle is not for sale?"

probably something to do with legal stuff...

The Green outback in Fairmount IN is of particular interest.

not yet....too many ifs...
