Post '83 Cream Yellow=WRX Cashmere Yellow?

The color post and the VW Vapor colored RS (http://www.streetracing.org/nightracing/092700/nightrace12.jpg) got me thinking:

My (RIP) '83 Subaru DL Wgn was Cream Yellow. Anyone familiar with this old color? I'm thinking now that this color is the same as the WRX Cashmere Yellow. I now have a little more respect for that old car.

I really dig pale yellow on cars. If I ever have to repaint my '02 WRX, I think I'm gonna dig up the paint code for Cream Yellow, as an homage.

No kidding? I retired my pale yellow '83 GL about 2 years ago. I actually cried when I had to get rid of it. I would have kept it, then bronzed it and put it on the front lawn. I'd love to see this color come back...especially for my Impreza, or especially on an Impreza wagon. I think that Subaru UK is offering a similar color on some of the 2.0 Sport models. If it wasn't so hard to import.....

All right! I had to junk mine earlier this year. The left rear trailing arm completely exploded due to rust and some railroad tracks. But that thing ran like a champ for six years, and all told it only cost me about $900, including repairs. It was super rusty, but the engine would have run forever.

I also wanted to cry when I had to junk it.

Mmm, '83 GL 4dr Auto w/ Cream Yellow Paint. My first real car. Had to much fun with it. Spent too much money fixing my mistakes. Sold it, and miss it.
