Post Gauge Pack - is it Worth it?

My 01 RS is coming in on Monday with Leather, Upgraded Stereo and Upgraded Sound....
So, should I get the Gauge Pack (Regular or Performance)?
What do you all think of them? Are they worth it.

My first Subaru comes in less than I week. I am excited.

The upgraded stereo is NOT worth it --
You can get speakers that are twice as good for half the price. They only upgrade the one's in the door, which are easy to replace.

I'm glad I didn't get the leather, because I love the cloth seats and the design.

As far as the gauge pack goes, most people have installed their own performance pack for less than half the price. The regular one is NOT worth $500+ in my opinion. It might look nice, but doesn't do much for you.

Get the housing and put your own gauges in it... I think subaruparts.com has the gauge-pack housing.

I have the original gauge pack (not the performance one). it's neat, but the altimiter doesn't work right, and i know it's not just mine, because i think i've figured out how it measures the altitude. but anyway... i kinda like having the cubby up top, with the gauges down low, though you can't see the cubby in this pic, though you know what it looks like anyway

I got the idea from Burr101, and had to perform a swap with Kyle Paton, and it was kinda a pain, but it's pretty sweet-ass
and NOTE: the dash wasn't finished being painted in picture. thank you
