Default Gauges fluttering and acting odd.

On my way home from work I noticed that my Speedometer was unable to hold any sort of speed. It would flutter from 40 to 50 back to 35, etc. Then I noticed my temp gauge was fluttering and would rise, fall back down, rise, flutter, etc. Also noticed my fuel gauge went from full ( filled this morning) to 3/4 full. There's no WAY used a 1/4 tank driving to work this morning. The Check engine light also flashed a few times, then went out, then came back on solid right before I got home. The Tach seems to be working fine, as are the lights, and Defi gauges. Car was also running fine. Both cruising and at idle. Now...here's what changed recently...

I put in the Speedmonkee ground kit a few days ago, but the car was running fine. Also got the EGT CEL on the way to work this morning, so I pulled and replaced the fuse to reset it before I went into work. I've done this probably 50 times since I got my up-pipe in over a year ago, and have gotten used to it. I checked to make sure I put the fuse back in correctly, and it was fine.

I am going to try reseting the ECU, and seeing if that helps. IF not, I'll try removing the Speedmonkee ground kit. If that doesn't help. I'm stumped.

Sounds like you have a bad power or ground connection somewhere. The first thing I'd check is the battery terminals, make sure they are clean and tight. Then check all the grounds, both OEM and added.
As far as clearing your CEL, why have you been suffering for a year because of the EGT? All you have to do is the 2.2K ohm resistor mod to simulate a nominal EGT and the CEL problem goes away.
It's not a good idea to reset the ECU that often either, because when you do this it doesn't just clear the codes. It also clears all the fuel and spark learning tables back to their default values so the learning process has to start all over again. This isn't something you want to do for no reason.

If it isn't a grounding problem, check you alternator.... although, the car probably would have died totally by now.
