Coilovers For My95-99 Legacy
According to Dale from www.teaguesauto.com the 2002-2003 WRX coilovers will fit the MY95-99 legacys. Is this true fellow legacy owners???
If so, which one would you pick???
Bilstein PSS 9 Suspension
Cusco Zero-2 Suspension kit
DMS Gold 40mm Coil Overs
JIC-Magic FLT-A2 Coil-over
H&R Coil-Over Suspension
Which is reliable and durable???
and what is the reason why you would choose one over the other???
Don't worry about price!

Well, for the most Dale is correct: new age WRX (GD?)suspension mounting configuration and length are the same as the BD -- maybe also the BG, I don't know for sure -- but the spring rates may not necessarily be the same. I used hard rubber STi strut tops with a DMS-made adapter plate for the BD/GD type upper bolt spacing in the rear struts (the bolt spacing is different in the rear struts bewteen the GC and BD/GD).
My experience is with the DMS 40s, having had them on my BD for the past four months. The set I got was one of the original series that had been completely rebuilt and retro-fitted with extra seals under warranty. They are from an original GC8 Impreza, so perhaps the aforementioned spring rates are not ideal.
Ride is harsher than I expected, mostly on the rougher roads around here and we don't even have frost heaves or pot-holes like some Eastern urban areas! Tuning the DMS consists of setting the ride height and adjusting the damper. There is only one 30 position adjustment for both bump and rebound. Using this adjuster I was able to find a setting that minimized, but not eliminated, the majority of the bounce you get with coilovers.
The handling is nothing short of amazing with virtually flat cornering on the stock sway bars and bushings. Note that the only other suspension mod I have is a front upper strut bar.
I would think that you can't go too far wrong with any of the sets on your list, just be sure you can live with the race car type ride if this is for your daily driver. It's one thing to want the handling, it's quite another to tolerate the ride during non-performance driving (which is unfortunately what a lot of us we spend most of our time doing).
