Default Turbo timer help

I have 2 questions about my turbo timer install.

1. Is the RPM wire neccesary for the timer to work?

2. What is the second cable in these pics? One end has the same type of connector that is on the turbo timer, the other end has a 4 prong rectangular connector with 2 black wires coming out of it. As far as I can tell I don't need it, but I'm curious as to what its for.

Is that a type one?

If it is

the gray wire coming off the turbo timer goes to the e brake

THis is the only wire you need for it to work i think

im not sure if you do need the rpm sensor but if you do, that goes to the ecu where the Rpm signal comes from. I dont know which wire it is on the ecu but if you can find a diagram or something, it should work.

That second cable is a harness so you dont have to splice into the factory ignition harness.

Im going to stop here because im not sure how it works on subarus

I also need to install one of these on my STI

Well I did the install today. I got everything working. Still don't know what the second harness is for. Its definetly not for Subaru's, that's for sure. (The Subaru wiring harness is not pictured above.) And the RPM wire is not required for basic functionality. If you want the TT to automatically calculate how long to count down, then you need the RPM wire, otherwise you can just set it to a specific time.

I believe its a Type 0, but it could be a Type 1. I bought it with no box or instructions from a ghetto tuning shop.
