Default Transmission work needed, best place to go?

Looking for someone to look/take apart my tranny, see what needs to be done. And do it. I think ill just rebuild if need be, as I don't have the cash to upgrade to a 6 spd, yet. Any and all info is GREATLY welcomed!

Background info
So my car has been making a noise for a bit near the front passenger wheel. Then a few days ago, it got quite loud driving on the freeway. It's makes the noise only when the car is in motion. Doesn't change if I'm in gear or not, clutch in or not. Thought it was my axle/wheel bearing. But it looks definitely to be my transmission. I emptied my fluid and its dirty as can be, and I found a chunk of medal on the plug. About the size of my small finger nail, in length and width. And about a .25 cm thick. Doesn't look like a tooth of a gear. More like a small piece of a skinny ring. I will be removing the transmission later in the week hopefully.
