Default Stock 04' STi cat-back fit 04' WRX?

This may be a stupid question*, but will the STi exhaust from the cat-back fit the 04' WRX without any issues?

Will this installation be pretty painless (remove stock, bolt on STi and go), or will i have to deal with Check Engine lights, and other stuff?

* This is my first post in the Factory 2.0L Forum

First, congrats on your first post to this forum

Second, I must state up front (and my info shows this).. I am no expert ... but, as a person who just did a bunch of research into exhausts for my 2004 WRX sedan, I can say with a good amount of certainty that the '04s are no different from '02 and '03's as far as exhaust fittment goes.

Yeah, that doesn't get you to STi directly, but wait!, there's more ... I've also read that '02 and '03 stuff will fit an STi directly.

So!, I infer from that relationship that STi stuff ought to fit an '04 WRX.

If '02 -> '04 WRX and '02 -> STi, then STi <-> '04 WRX, near as I can figure. (note that 'STi' here means USDM, '04 STi).

Further, I'm pretty sure I read at least a half dozen times the same question you have on previous posts and they all sounded like they confirmed what you're after.

Yeah, maybe I'm not much help ... I'd say find at least one other corroborating source than me, just to be sure
