Wink the fury of a Subaru scorned

scorn (sko˘rn) n.
1.a.Contempt or disdain felt toward a person or object considered despicable or unworthy.
I have comitted an awful crime against my poor helpless RS. Due to the drout and water rationing that went all summer long here in central Texas, I was not able to give my car a bath regularly. In fact, it had probably been three months since it's last good hand washing. Now I know why the car was against me in the auto-x over the weekend. I managed an unpleasant 3rd place and corded two of my race tires. The car knew it had rained, and was embarrassed in front of all those other shiny cars at the race. I guess I had to learn my lesson the hard way.
So last night I cleaned her real good, and now she likes me again. I think she might have given back a couple extra horsepower that she was keeping from me over the weekend. Next weekend, a fresh coat of wax.

If my RS was a person, she'd have wrinkled fingers from being wet all the time from being washed so much...

I'm about ready to buy that waterless car wash stuff from my AMSOIL business. Make it easier to just wipe off dirt with a moist rag.

Imprezas are primarily rally cars. Rally cars are usually driven on dirt. Therefore, you should not feel bad for letting your Impreza get dirty.

Hope it makes you feel better.

You're right, rally cars are meant to be dirty....but I get upset too when my baby's not washed 'cause it's my street car
...I think they almost run better clean. My other half has been rallying for like 10 15 years and he always washed his rally car before races too - isn't that a hoot?
