the cooling system need 5.8L of coolant (6.2 quarts). be very careful to bleed it. special funnel that goes on the rad cap or vaccum system strongly recommended. do the change when the engine is cool. fill the system as much as you can, start the engine and let it run until the rad fan has started and stopped twice. this is about 15-20 min long. fill the overflow at least at the full mark. after the first few ride, check the level when cold. subarus engine, at least the 2.5, care tricky to bleed. when you first fill up the system, maybe only 2/3 of it will be actualy filled. if you leave it this way, you'll get some trouble. I worked at a deaker this summer, and they told me they've seen a couple of case of blown engine because of bad filling. ****ty garage that were filling once and let the owners go. the engine overheat, the head gasket blow because of the warping, then the coolant get away, and the engine overheat more and more, and so on...
i don't want to scare you, you just need to be cautious.

Do a 50/50 mix of antifreeze & water. "technically" you should really use distilled water. It's cheap too.
